Frankton Christian Kindergarten has been officially licensed since May 1, 1972. A group of men and
women from the Reformed Church of Hamilton had a vision to provide Christian education—from early childhood right through to high school —to their children and the children of Hamilton. At the time, they were not yet able to begin a primary school so they started with a kindergarten. We have seen generations of families come through our doors, and attending currently we have
great-grandchildren of the founding teachers! Still sitting on it’s original site, the building has undergone many changes and upgrades, but our heart for sharing the love of Jesus with the children and families of our community will always remain the same.
The basic principle of our centre is that children are a gift from God, who need to be loved and nurtured to recognise and understand their relationship with God. All people are made in the image of God and loved by God. We believe that a healthy relationship with God promotes good relationships with the people around us. In all that we do, we aim to honour and respect God.
The Bible is the foundation for the programme in our centre, which allows for:
- The recognition and fostering of each child’s individuality.
- The recognition of the family unit, and the inclusion of all its members.
- The development of each child’s God given talents in all areas: social, physical, linguistic, cognitive, emotional and spiritual.
- A wide range of learning experiences in which the practise of Christian principles such as joy, peace, honesty, truthfulness, justice and love for one another is encouraged.
The Bible tells us that “God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16
